While the transgender actress is best known starring in “Orange is the New Black” and has only been in the spotlight for a short amount of time, Laverne Cox has done so much to raise awareness of Transgender issues. From producing an upcoming documentary featuring Cece McDonald, to handling invasive personal questions about =tTransgender individuals with aplomb, Cox has done so much to educate the public.

According to her publisher, Harlequin, the memoir will start from Laverne Cox’s childhood, during which she was raised as a boy with her twin brother. I’m definitely looking forward to this book which comes out in 2015.
