2015 is looking to be another major year for Little League Star Mo’ne Davis. After the talented young athlete gained national attention for her pitching prowess last year, she became the subject of a documentary directed by Spike Lee and made multiple of television appearances.
Now it looks like the 13-year-old, who is also releasing a memoir this month, will be the subject of a Disney channel movie, produced by Debra Martin Chase. The film will be tailored to the tween demographic.
“Mo’ne is not only a topnotch athlete in three different sports — baseball, basketball and soccer — but she is an exemplary student and someone who will remind our audiences that they can do anything with hard work, dedication and belief in themselves,” said Naketha Mattocks, VP of original movies for Disney Channels.
