Who Will Guest Star on Season 2 of ‘Empire?’

Empire Season 2

Season one of Empire went out with a bang, in the form of a two-hour finale that still seemed to end much too quickly. The episode also saw some major guest stars including a return performance from Jennifer Hudson, as well as Snoop Dogg, and the one and only Patti LaBelle.

Last week, the show’s creator Lee Daniels confirmed that we would in fact be seeing Oprah and Common next season. Earlier this year, Daniels had expressed a desire to have both talents on the show.

Daniels’ also revealed that he would like have Lenny Kravitz and Denzel Washington appear on the show.

It’s about [Washington’s] schedule. I’ve got to lure him in with my fishhook, but he is really a great support of the show and Lenny Kravitz is going to be on the show, hopefully. We’re going to make sure we try and create a storyline for him.

Kravitz worked with the filmmaker on both Precious and The Butler, so this casting seems like a slam dunk. Denzel Washington is also a longtime friend of the rocker/actor, so maybe we’ll be seeing them on episode together?

Rumor has it that Jennifer Lopez might also be making an appearance on the show. Her appearance would likely serve as another cross-marketing opportunity for American Idol and Empire. Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) and Jamal (Jussie Smollett) have already appeared on Idol to perform.

Either way, season two will definitely be major. Who would you like to see on the show?
